Sometimes people ask: what do you do with the money you raise? We pay for things. Like trips to teach the Dharma, like our Zoom, our Otter.ai transcribing service or the thousand things we do to keep teaching. At the same time, remember that money shouldn't be a problem. We have free activities every month.


But basically: you give us money, we put it to use in the teaching of Dharma.

We declare December the PEMA month, for all devotees of the Lord of Compassion!



So, what's the unique requirements? Let me break those down.


Dharmic Tarot


As you know, Buddhadharma's not only a set of beliefs, but a meta-belief. That is, you can use the conceptual framework of Buddhadharma to understand and use different systems of magic and ritual. That's what happened in a lot of the history of Buddhism's expansion: Buddhism + Daoism = Zen, Buddhism + Confucianism = Won, etc.


After teaching the I-Ching last month (which you can see below) ...



... we've been asked to explain how would you do the same for the Tarot.

And we will.


But, we require something of you.


To calibrate the class, we require a reading from you.

This class is both free and open for those who can answer the question "What is the secret desire behind my desire to take this class?" via a reading. You can use any tarot and any spread. But take a photo or a video and send it before 12/10 to trc@tantricsorcery.com

We'll let you know by 12/13 if you're in and when it's going to take place.

The Monkey King


By now, you should know that Sun Wukong, the Victorious Fighting Buddha, has showed us an Upadesha. I will be giving his empowerment in December, as well as a special Puja for those of you who have already completed the accumulation (that is, not for those who just take the first empowerment; this will happen again soon, don't worry).


But The Monkey King has asked for something else: a 13-moon cycle of practice for revealing more advanced practices. We will start next year, at the end of January. This will be a course for those who have completed the accumulation, so if you're starting now, you have 1.5 months to do so.


You will be receiving a part of the Upadesha per month but be warned: there are both mantra and physical exercise requirements for this effort. At the end, you will get the complete Upadesha of Sun Wukong (if everyone completes the challenge and the Upadesha finishes revealing itself).


It's a steep commitment; that's why we're letting you know with time. Think about it and next month you can let me know.


As you can see, a pretty busy december, and the beginning of an intense year.

Burn, Mara Burn

Yes, the time has come again.

The time when we gather to roast Mara and practice to liberate Samsara.

We liked the Portland experience so much last year that this year it's the official Mara Roast Location!

We'll be there from September 29 through October 4, doing teachings, yogas and sorceries together!

Ok, there is a cost, right? And what does it cover?

Yes, sadly there is a cost.

It takes money and effort to travel, translate and host, so we need to ask for your collaboration. This will cover the cost of the teachings; they're five days full of teachings you will literally not find anywhere else. 

You have to provide your food and lodgins; we will give the teachings, plus all the files and documents you need to practice.

As an aside, we will define one session to be streamed, but most of it won't. This is an encounter; we want to meet and practice together. There's plenty of teachings every month online, but this is different.

The cost is going to be on a sliding window; why? Because there's a limit to the space that we have and we need to set everything up beforehand. 

​

For March, the Early Bird ticket is $650 for everything.

April to July, the ticket is $750.

August and September is going to be $900. So get in early!

Oh, I want to participate, but I can't afford it.

We understand. We also wanted to practice and it took time and effort. 

There's a scholarship option.

This covers two things:

1-The lodging: There's a chance to crash in the temple. The space is limited and you should bring a sleeping bag, but it's doable.

2-The teachings: There's limited teaching space, but if you want to come, we'll try to make you room.

The only thing we need to emphasize is that everything is limited. We will need to make a decision, and it will be nothing personal if we cannot grant you either or both of them. But we need to make sure that the event is viable. Please do not sign up via paypal if you selected a scholarship option until we get back to you.

Mara Roast 2025 - Scholarship form

This is the form to participate of the Mara Roast via Scholarship. Please do not sign up on the Paypal link if you request scholarship until you hear from us; there's a limited space to participate and to teach, so we will have to make a divination on how many scholarship spaces there are.
